Ioannis Dagres, Ph.D.

Ioannis Dagres, Ph.D. received a BS degree in Computer Engineering, a MS degree in Signal Processing and a Ph.D degree from the Technical University of Patras, Greece, in 1997, 1999 and 2011 respectively. Since 1999 he has participated in several EU projects such as ADAMAS (ADAptive Multicarrier Access System), WINDFLEX (Wireless INDoor FLEXible Modem Architecture), STINGRAY (Space Time CodING for Adaptive ReconfigurAble Systems), WIMAGIC (Worldwide Interoperability Microwave broadband Access system for next Generation wIreless Communications) and NEWCOM(++) (Network of Excellence in Wireless Communications), as a Research Associate. He is currently participating in ACROPOLIS (Advanced coexistence technologies for radio optimisation in licensed and unlicensed spectrum) and FARAMIR (Flexible and spectrum-Aware Radio Access through Measurements and modelling In cognitive Radio systems). His research interests lie in the area of signal processing for communications, and in particular adaptive signal design and synchronization problems for multicarrier communication systems, detection and localization of radio emitters for cognitive radio applications.
